Friction stays, or hinges, are made from stainless steel and stocked in sizes from 200mm (6”) up to 600mm (24”). They offer improved security and weather sealing and the degree of friction is variable to suit the weight of the moving frame.
There are stays for top hung applications and reinforced stays to support side hung casements. There are also different types of stays available. For example, some are configured to facilitate cleaning from the inside. Others can be activated to slide to one side and produce a clear opening for emergency evacuation. There are ‘heavy duty’ types and types that are manufactured from a higher grade of stainless steel. Our technical sales are here to help you choose the product best suited to your needs.
